Bonjour, je m appelle Lukas.

I am form Germany (near Frankfurt am Main), 20 years old and unfortunately I don't speak any french so I decided to better write my posts in english. Hopefully we will understand each other that way.

My father bought a Motoconfort U54C (built in 1955) a few years ago and as far as I can remember, the bike ran two times since then. It was restored by the pre-owner and my father made it roadworthy by using some spare parts (please ignore the blue cables).

Because of my interest in cars and motorbikes I decided to get the machine running again and after cleaning the carburator we managed to start the engine without the kickstarter.

That's my first big problem: the kickstarter is missing. I got some experience in milling so I think of building a new one by myself if I can't find a spare part. Unfortunately I did not find a fitting one on the web so my first question is: do you know kickstarters from similar bikes or producers instead of using the original one? Also my father told me, that the retraction-spring (No. 735 on this picture: http://www.motoconfort-u54c.com/page.php?17) seems to be broken and we need a new one. Is it possible to find matching spare parts somewhere on the web?

I hope it's OK to put those questions in my introduction-post because I got some problems with understanding the forums' structure in french.

Great, thank you for the hint. I managed to find another one in my country by searching for the one of the Z2C although I think it is a bit overpriced. What do you think, is ~50€ a good price for the kickstarter and retraction spring?

Yes if there is spring, kick and shipping costs it's good !
